Final bit of Cycle Tour training awaits!
You have been training on your bike like a pro for the Cape Town Cycle Tour, but have you dialed in the most important aspect of emulating a pro, Instagram. We have been kicking around Cape Town for a few years and are following tons of riders that are posting pictures of their adventures on the road.

We thought we would share some of the accounts we have enjoyed the most over the past few years. This is a very personal list and is not based on number of followers or likes on photos, just accounts we really think are sick and dig seeing on our timeline!

Let us know if you think we are missing out on some awesome local cycling related Instagram accounts!

Ashleigh Moolman Pasio

Ashleigh is the current South African road race champ. She posts awesome behind the scenes pics of overseas racing for team Bigla in Europe. Although our favourite photos are those taken closer to home like those taken while hammering around Cape Town and Chapmans Peak. Ashleigh rides Cervelo bikes.

Matthew is a Capetonian road and mountain biker. His photos are of the usual Cape Town back drops while riding but he adds animations over the photos that usually lead to a chuckle on our end. It looks like he has some BMC machines

Kevin Benkenstein

Stumbled upon his account while on holiday, he has some real amazing shots of his adventures on both his road and gravel bikes. His signature photo that we enjoy is his bike in the middle of a long open road, just chilling. Kevin rolls on specialized bikes all over it seems.

Robert is a rider from Cape Town that rode for the team #GoUntilYouThrow at the Coronation Double Century. One of his popular shots is his high speed selfies. The main reason he is on this list is that he beat us at the DC, so kudos to him. Dont care what he rides, he beat us at the DC. 😛

In True Savage fashion, what list would be complete without ourselves? Our thread mostly consists of our exploits on the road, races, training, coffee and a every now and then some mountain biking. According to Instagram our favourite hashtags are #hammer and #chappies. Very appropriate. So go on, harden up and follow us. We ride whatever we have not broken yet basically.
